• The appointment takes around 45 minutes, with the actual procedure taking only around 20 minutes.

You can see a bit of an immediate glow from the treatment, but full results are visible in around 2 weeks.

We generally recommend at least 2-3 sessions of skin booster, carried out 2-4 weeks apart. For maintenance, 1 session every 6-9 months is advised.

  • It can be a bit uncomfortable however we numb the skin prior to the treatment with numbing cream.

We use a mesotherapy pen device or hand held device to administer the treatment.

The result can be seen in the first few days following treatment, but is designed to be carried out as a course of treatment for best results.

  • Downtime with skin boosters is generally very minimal and makeup can be applied the next day.

Tenderness and mild swelling is expected for a few days as well as potential for mild bruising in some cases. We provide pre and after care instructions to go through ways we can further minimise this.

Skin Booster

Skin booster treatment involves injections of hyaluronic acid, designed to deliver deep skin hydration.

It is not a filler and is not giving any volume to the face but is in fact a soft, gel like substance. Hyaluronic acid is an amazing humectant which means it draws water to the surface of our skin. Each molecule of HA can bind and hold 1000 times its own weight in water. It occurs naturally in the skin but levels reduce with age, which is what causes skin to appear rougher or with a dryer texture.

Microinjections of deeply hydrating hyaluronic acid restores the moisture in the skin, which improves its elasticity, firmness and radiance. It is sometimes described as an ‘injectable moisturiser’. However, unlike just a moisturiser that you apply at home, the injections can penetrate much deeper and last longer.

We generally combine skin booster with mesotherapy so that you are getting all of the benefits of the face mesotherapy alongside the added hyaluronic acid for hydration. This was done in the example on the left.

We can also sometimes place skin booster alone into small depressions on the surface of the skin due to scarring from previous acne to reduce the appearance of these ditched scars.
