The appointment takes around 45 minutes, with the actual procedure taking only around 15 minutes.

The results from Profhilo are noticeable within a few days, and generally last around 6 months. For patients who already have very healthy skin, it can last much longer.

Profhilo for the face consists of 5 injections per side deposited with a small needle. The injections are mildly uncomfortable but generally well tolerated.

Profhilo is always carried out as a course and 2 sessions are always required, carried out one month apart.

The glow seen can be instant but the best results are seen one month after the second session.

Downtime with Profhilo in this area is generally very minimal and makeup can be applied the next day.

You will have some small raised bumps where the injections have been placed but these generally disappear within around 24 hours.

Tenderness and very mild swelling can occur for a few days and potential for mild bruising in some cases. We provide pre and after care instructions to go through ways we can further minimise this.

Following 2 sessions of Profhilo, you can expect your skin to look firmer, smoother and much more hydrated.

Patients often assume that Profhilo is the same as a skin booster as it contains hyaluronic acid. It is much more than just a skin booster as it also gives a small amount of lift and sculpt to the face, WITHOUT adding any volume as a filler would.

If you are having Profhilo treatment alongside other treatment, you can have your regular toxin treatment on the same day if it is for frown/forehead lines.

We advise waiting 1-2 weeks before Profhilo and mesotherapy or peels and 2-3 weeks between dermal filler and Profhilo.
